Deoxys-S sweeps Flying and Water teams in a blink of an eye with a Nasty Plot set! Thunderbolt at +2, in conjunction with Electrium Z, breaks past Celesteela and Slowking. Ice Beam deals with Ground-types such as Hippowdon, Landorus, and Garchomp. Energy Ball completes its coverage as it threatens Gastrodon. Expert Belt is an alternative that helps Deoxys-S achieve important damage thresholds, notably letting it OHKO Mega Swampert and Greninja without a boost. Tapu Lele makes for an excellent teammate as it provides Psychic terrain which prevents priority users such as Urshifu-R from being able to revenge-kill Deoxys-S, and also deals with Dark- and Dragon-types such as Mega Sableye and Kyurem. Mega Gallade deals with special walls such as Aegislash, Galarian Slowking, and Tyranitar, and appreciates Deoxys-S' ability to remove Celesteela, allowing it to threaten Flying and Steel teams more readily. Victini deals with Steel-types such as Ferrothorn and Jirachi, and can pivot Deoxys-S into Landorus-T and Toxapex. Jirachi provides Stealth Rock to wear down the opposing team, and can pivot it into Pelipper and Celesteela.
