Adamant Bax with Never-melt-ice tera ice gets KOs on mons that it wouldn't without both. Adamant ensures that specs dragapult and Enamorous are OHKOed by tera ice ice shard. At +2 bax has a 50% to OHKO Iron Valiant, and garunteed OHKO with rocks or spikes. Icicle crash is taken for more consistent damage over no dice icicle spear, plus a 30% for a free turn. Crash OHKOs standard defensive Zapdos and Tera ice guarantees KO on any Zapdos. Crash cleanly 2HKOs defensive Great Tusk and +2 tera ice ice shard with 1 layer of spikes OHKOs booster energy Great Tusk. ------------------------------------ Bulky Cinderace helps pivot around while still being a threat that can punish and pressure oppenents with lazy spike use. Tera fire for more power and Flying/Fairy for defensive teras. --------------- Defensive Zapdos is literally always useful. Static to punish u-turn and contact moves. Tera water is the most important part of this Zapdos. Zapdos shuts down rain teams, but without tera water is thrashed by Basculegion and Greninja. --------------- Landorous Therian is here to act as a defensive pivot. This Lando actually checks most of the physical threats in the meta, but does not have the bulk to check more than 1 or 2 mons in a game. I use Psychic here because it beats several threats that this team is somewhat weak to. Psychic can 2HKO standard Great Tusk, OHKO Sneasler, and threatens Zamazenta as well. Psychic does not need investment to be helpful against those threats, but most people would probably prefer grass knot/stone edge/taunt. Don't tera Lando unlessyou are going to lose; Tera steel is for opposing baxcalibur. --------------- Glowking is the remnant of Gen 8's awful teleport/regenerator cores, so of course I'm going to abuse it. Standard pivot action with future sight/teleport and sludge bomb. I use Yawn as a way to force progress or catch lazy setup attempts, but any move works here. Tera Dark to stop more fringe teams. Tera dark has a good matchup into Psyspam and stored power mons, all while flipping your ghost weakness. Tera Fairy here to beat dark types. --------------- Finally, we have the good old agency classic: Iron Valiant. The Encore set pressures walls and stall teams, as well as punishes setup attempts. I used to use SD Val with knockoff and CC, but moved to this CM moonblast/shadow ball set. Knockoff is better into the balance/stall teams that rely on leftovers and boots, but can make your team weak to hard physical walls like Dondozo and Garganacl. I use Tera Ghost to both mimic Flutter mane and to flip your poison weakness. Val usually acts as an endgame sweeper but is sometimes necessary as a midgame stall breaker or utility encore.
