Gouging Fire bulks modespecs Greninja hydro cannon, two Ivy Cudgels from Ogerpon-Wellspring, and other less powerful hits like Chien-Pao giga impact and Sneasler fake out into gunk shot. The speed puts you past Serperior at +1. Substitute is an alterative to burning bulwark to beat charm Ogerpon-Hearthflame and some Goodra-H. Serperior lives modespecs Lando-I focus blast and 252+ booster energy Iron Hands close combat while outspeeding base 110s like Ogerpon. The remaining few evs are put into spatk for slightly more leaf storm damage. Kebia berry is preferred over leftovers for the Landorus-I matchup and it also provides a better matchup into the other stray poison coverage moves like Donphan's gunk shot. Archaludon beats haban berry Regidrago while still beating other relevant dragons like Walking Wake and Gouging Fire. The team does have some difficult matchups, however, namely occa berry Whimsicott with some spdef investment, unnerve gunk shot Ursaluna, Goodra-Hisui, and banded Haxorus with scale shot.
