Ting-Lu @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Vessel of Ruin
Level: 50
Tera Type: Poison
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 4 Def / 236 SpD / 12 Spe
Careful Nature
- Earthquake
- Ruination
- Stealth Rock
- Whirlwind
Default lead, go with this 90% of the time. If you end up with a bad lead matchup (Chien-Pao, Urshifu-R, Flutter Mane, etc) make a judgement call about whether or not Calyrex will need the Tera (read; do they have a Ting-Lu?) and whether or not Ting-Lu will need to keep its typing (read; do they have Calyrex-S Miraidon and no opportunities for you to set up?) and don't be afraid to Tera turn 1 and just Whirlwind them out. This team is all about momentum and you don't want to lose the first turn.
Ting-Lu's primary job is to chip the opposing team down into KO range, so its teammates can clean up later in the game. Stealth Rock is also critical in breaking enemy Focus Sashes so that Calyrex can cleanly run through an opposing team, as well as dismantling enemy Ho-Oh. Ting-Lu's secondary job is to wall opposing Miraidon and Calyrex if you misplay your sweeper and lose momentum, so if you Tera him early be aggressive with SD/NP predicts later. If the opposing lead can't deal a lot of damage to Ting-Lu, prioritize Stealth Rock -> Ruination -> Whirlwind. If they threaten Ting-Lu or try to set up Substitute or a boosting move, order of operations is Whirlwind -> Stealth Rock -> Ruination.
The provided EV spread allows it to always outspeed opposing Ting-Lu with 4 Speed, and immediately proc the Sitrus Berry if hit with Ruination.
Alomomola @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
Level: 50
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Flip Turn
- Wish
- Protect
Alternate lead, if you see a lot of bad potential lead matchups for Ting-Lu. Walls Chien-Pao, Koraidon, Urshifu, and Arceus as well as Zacian and Calyrex-I if not Tera Electric. PP stalls Ho-Oh. Can stop opposing Arceus if it gets the Wish support allows Ting-Lu to sit on slower teams forever, though picking both Alomomola and Ting-Lu won't give you enough attacking power for faster teams. Wish can also be used to restore Calyrex's Focus Sash past chip and/or hazards.
Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
Level: 50
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 228 HP / 36 Def / 244 SpD
Impish Nature
- Knock Off
- Toxic
- Substitute
- Protect
Alternate wall for opposing stall teams, or extra insurance against Choice-locked Miraidon. Toxic will dismantle Ho-Oh or defensive Arceus. Substitute will allow you to stall out most 8 PP moves if it comes down to it. Rarely pick this.
Calyrex-Shadow @ Focus Sash
Ability: As One (Spectrier)
Level: 50
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Astral Barrage
- Psyshock
- Draining Kiss
- Nasty Plot
Primary sweeper. Send it out once Stealth Rock is active and the opposing Pokemon has been chipped down to KO range by Ting-Lu. Collect Grim Neigh boosts and sweep. Very self-explanatory.
Keeping the Focus Sash intact will allow Calyrex to win matchups such as Choice Scarf Miraidon, opposing Calyrex, any priority (Sucker Punch) user, or simply being unboosted against a full health Pokemon. Accomplish this with Draining Kiss.
Arceus @ Lum Berry
Ability: Multitype
Level: 50
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Extreme Speed
- Shadow Claw
- Swords Dance
- Recover
Secondary sweeper. Send it out once Stealth Rock is active and the opposing Pokemon has been chipped down to KO range by Ting-Lu. +2 Tera Espeed kills basically everything. Lum Berry gives you the chance to press Swords Dance on opposing Thunder Waves and Will-O-Wisps. Shadow Claw is for opposing Calyrex-S and Flutter Mane. Very self-explanatory.
Chi-Yu @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Beads of Ruin
Level: 50
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Flamethrower
- Dark Pulse
- Overheat
- Psychic
Backup sweeper, in case you see bad matchups for Arceus. Send it out once Stealth Rock is active and the opposing Pokemon has been chipped down to KO range by Ting-Lu. Can absorb obvious Choice Scarf + Tricks such as Gholdengo. Very self-explanatory. Rarely pick this.
