Gaslight (Gengar) @ Focus Sash
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty/Timid/Jolly/Naive Nature
IVs: 31 Spe
- Destiny Bond
- Shadow Ball
- Sucker Punch
Gengar is always your lead, the most important part of this team and MUST have maximum Speed. You can breed a maximum Speed Gastly by catching any 31 Speed IV Gastly, giving it a Power Anklet in HeartGold or SoulSilver, and putting it in the Day Care with a Speed-boosting Nature Ditto or opposite gender Gastly. This will give you a 50% chance to inherit the nature and a guaranteed chance to inherit the Speed IV. When facing opposing Gengar, trade your Focus Sashes using Shadow Ball. The speed tie doesn't actually matter, as your follow-up Sucker Punch on turn 2 will always go through as the AI always picks Shadow Ball for some reason. On the AI's second Pokemon simply click Destiny Bond and take them down with you, then switch to Froslass.

Girlboss (Froslass) (F) @ Kasib Berry
Any Nature
- Destiny Bond
- Taunt
- Ice Beam
- NOT Ice Shard
Froslass's exact stats don't matter all that much, but it is important that her Speed is between 119 and 177 at Level 50. You'll need a stat calculator to check (or just check her summary in a Battle Frontier battle) as Froslass needs to get to Level 59 to learn Destiny Bond if she didn't inherit it from her parents as a Snorunt. It takes a maximum Speed Froslass to reach 178 and a very slow one to go below 119, so if you didn't purposely train yours to be outside this range you should be fine. Froslass needs to be slower than Gengar so that when other players come through, their Gengar can use Destiny Bond to take out your AI copy of Froslass. When using Froslass yourself, you will be able to take out their opposing third Pokemon with Destiny Bond, or Taunt if it is the WiFi Tower Skarmory from the classic Pokemon Ribbons WiFi Tower Team. DO NOT run Ice Shard on your Froslass, as the AI will see that and KO players' Gengar with it instead of Ice Beam. Froslass does also learn Sucker Punch, but the AI Froslass will never use it so it's fine to have it even though you don't need it. Kasib Berry is a vestige from the classic WiFi team as well. There's not really any one item you HAVE to run so long as isn't a Choice item or any items that affect Froslass's Speed.

Your Ribbon Pokemon @ Iron Ball
Any Nature
- NOT Ice Shard
- NOT Sucker Punch
- NOT Bullet Punch
- NOT Aqua Jet
- NOT Shadow Sneak
Your Ribbon Pokemon is just along for the ride. Make sure they do not have any priority attacks that can hit Froslass, and give them one of the following items - Iron Ball, Macho Brace, Power Weight, Power Bracer, Power Lens, Power Belt, Power Band, Power Anklet, Full Incense or Lagging Tail. This will make it so the AI copy of your Ribbon Pokemon always goes last against other players' Froslass, allowing her to Destiny Bond and secure the final KO.

Gatekeep (Skarmory) @ Lum Berry
IVs: 31 Spe
EVs: 36 HP / 252 SpD / 220 Spe
Ability: Sturdy
Careful/Calm Nature
- Taunt
- Roost
- Counter
- Toxic
The classic Skarmory set from the Pokemon Ribbons Discord's team. Included for reference and to make sure the team naming scheme stays intact. You do not need to build this set, but you might run into it, and getting rid of it simply requires a Taunt from Froslass followed by Ice Beams and reapplying Taunt whenever it wears off. Destiny Bond will not work as Skarmory can't directly damage Froslass and will simply stall you out with Toxic, which doesn't trigger Destiny Bond.
