This team relies almost entirely on Walking Wake and Raging Bolt's sheer wallbreaking power to punch holes in virtually anything, as well as them being able to work in Sun and threaten common Sand teams, with Iron Hands being a blanket one-time check to physical sweepers, Treads being a stopgap to Fairies sans Iron Valiant, and Wellspring being the team's speed control via rain-boosted Quick Attack. For notes on slashed moveset options: - Wake can run Hydro Pump for the strongest STAB without a drawback in Rain, but Weather Ball generally is better in the event of a Slowking-Galar or Torkoal on the opposing team, as Hydro Steam still is servicable Water STAB. - Raging Bolt, likewise, can run Weather Ball over Thunder for Gliscor, Iron Treads, and Excadrill. - Iron Hands can run Headlong Rush over Brick Break for stronger STAB, but Brick Break is useful for the myriad of Grimmsnarl teams floating around. Close Combat can be used in the third slot over Heavy Slam if using Brick Break to guaranteed have a strong Fighting STAB. - Treads can use High Horsepower slightly better damage but no para chance, or Megahorn for maximum damage at the cost of accuracy.
