Agility Sweeper (Porygon) @ Eviolite
Ability: Download
EV's: 36 Def / 236 SpA / 196 Spe
Modest Nature
- Tri Attack
- Ice Beam / Thunderbolt
- Agility
- Protect
Set Details: One of Porygon's many sets, this one patches up Porygon's middling speed and turns it into a surprisingly fast sweeper. Tri-Attack is it's best STAB move and has great neutral coverage. It can chose between Ice bean for coverage against Ground and Grass types like Onix and Cottonee, while Thunderbolt hits Water and Flying types like Omanyte and Rufflet. Agility is the main boon of this set, doubling Porygon's speed an allowing it to outspeed a good portion of the metagame after a single boost. Download has the potential to boost Porygon's Special Attack to the stratosphere, depending on the opponents' defensive stats. The speed EVs allow Porygon to outspeed the entire unboosted metagame after a single Agility. Porygon has maximum Special Attack investment to make it's hits the strongest it can be, and the defense investment allows it to take hits like Mudbray Rock Slide better, along with the added bulk of Eviolite. Protect allows Porygon to pivot itself into a better position to set up. Redirection from the likes of Pokemon like Foongus is greatly appreciated for letting Porygon set up.

All-Out Attacker (Porygon) @ Eviolite
Ability: Download
EV's: 36 Def / 236 SpA / 196 Spe
Modest Nature
- Tri Attack
- Ice Beam / Thunderbolt
- Psychic
- Protect / Recover
Set Details: This set functions very different from the Agility Sweeper, despite being an almost 1 for 1 copy of it. This Porygon relies on speed control, like Tailwind, to function. The details of the set are mostly the same as the Agility Sweeper, except Psychic is used to hit Fighting and Poison types such as Mienfoo, Koffing, and Foongus. Recover is also an option over Protect, as it drastically increases Porygon's longevity. The All-Out Attacker is best used as a breaker, and as previously stated, pairs well with speed control like Tailwind to get the jump on many of it's threats.

Trick Room Attacker (Porygon) @ Eviolite
Ability: Download
EV's: 76 HP / 196 Def / 236 SpA
Modest Nature
- Tri Attack
- Trick Room
- Ice Beam / Thunderbolt
- Recover / Thunderbolt / Psychic
Set Details: This is quite a different set from both the All-Out Attacker and Agility Sweeper. Item and ability are the same, along with Tri-Attack and Thunderbolt/Ice Beam. However the EVs are more geared into bulk, letting it set Trick Room easier. Trick Room is one of Porygon's greatest assets, being a move that isn't distributed much, and a powerful one at that. Recover is the preferred 4th move, as the gained longevity allows Porygon to set Trick Room multiple times if need be. Rounding out the BoltBeam coverage is also a option. Redirection is preferred to help set Trick Room, but Porygon can set Trick Room without it though. Pokemon that benefit from Trick Room, like Mudbray, make great partners for Porygon.

Support (Porygon) @ Eviolite
Ability: Trace
EV's: 236 HP / 196 Def / 76 SpD
Calm Nature
- Psychic
- Ice Beam / Tri Attack
- Thunder Wave
- Recover
Set Details: This Porygon set is unlike all of the others, taking on more of a support role that the previous three. Trace is the preferred ability here, as this set isn't trying to dish out damage, but rather spread paralysis via Thunder Wave, which is the same reason the EVs are only put into bulk. Trace can allow Porygon to copy a useful ability, like Cottonee's Prankster or Mienfoo's Regenerator. Eviolite is there for the same reason as the other sets. Psychic hits the most amount of targets, namely Mienfoo, Koffing, and Foongus. Ice Beam hits Grounds like Onix who aren't affected by Thunder Wave. Tri-Attack is also an option to further spread status and a better attacking move. Thunder Wave can ruin Pokemon who rely on their speed, like Mienfoo. Other good targets include Omanyte, Rufflet, and Ponyeta. Recover is so Porygon can constantly spread Thunder Waves throughout a game. This Porygon set can mostly function on it's own, but it needs teammates that can pick up the offensive slack who enjoy the paralysis support, like Rufflet.
