Boasting solid bulk, good typing and Friend Guard, Matokoda is a strong support Pokemon in VGC 20XX. Rage Powder keeps allies safe. Giga Drain servers as both a STAB attack and healing. Anguish Cry is a nice backup STAB; dealing double damage against foes with less than half HP also makes it a strong finishing tool. Jungle Healing restores health to both your Pokemon and cures status, while Protect can be used to stall a turn or scout. 

EVs emphasise physical bulk, since its typing has better physical resistances, but a more specially defensive spread is viable too depending on your team. Rocky Helmet punishes contact moves, Sitrus Berry restores health (run 252 HP / 52 SpD if you use that for an even HP number) while Mental Herb prevents Taunt.
