I haven't had to think about this team in a hot minute. I probably have it recorded somewhere, just don't know which notebook it'd be in. Not my best opening to Masters if I'm honest. Played poorly because I was up all night breeding an Eevee with Hidden Power Fire. This one should've been phoned in a few days prior. I could be really bad with remembering to ask for help (something that's still somewhat true to this day), and I think that's why this Regional had a poor performance. Turns out you can't win one - playing against the likes of Alex Ogloza, according to my battle notes - on an hour of sleep. This event was my only major all year, as my folks usually didn't have the means to shuttle me all over the country. Without a Nationals travel stipend, there was no Nationals. With exception to 2015 (unexpectedly), that's how it was every year growing up. Was it a lot of pressure? Sure, but nothing I didn't grow used to with time.
