Excadrill bulky offense

Hippowdon provides tremendous defensive utility against common physical attackers like opposing Excadrill and Tyranitar, with Whirlwind denying setup opportunities and Toxic punishing switch-ins. Excadrill is the rocker thanks to its ability to apply pressure thanks to tremendous offensive power. He should be dynamaxing most often. Jolly to speed tie opposing Excadrill if needed. Gothitelle is the ace of the team, trapping walls like Hippowdon and Corviknight. Speed enough to outspeed Corviknight and Taunt it. It should be used similarly to its Gen 7 Ubers set. Dragapult provides speed control and momentum with U-Turn. Phantom Force allows it to break through Aegislash's King's Shield and apply pressure. Fire Blast for Ferrothorn and Corviknight. Gastrodon is the rain check of the team, although you have to be careful about dynamax and the not-so-common Ludicolo. Hev Boots Mandibuzz is the defogger of the squad, checking pokemon like Gengar, Hydreigon and Dragapult and providing defog and knock off support as well as momentum for Gothitelle or Excadrill with U-Turn. Heavy-Duty Boots is a blessing for Flying-types and allows Mandibuzz to be as healthy as possible to check threats like Aegislash. Other options for Mandibuzz include Dark Pulse over Knock Off as to not worry about King's Shield and Taunt over U-Turn, although the momentum is often preferred.
