Pinsir has a lot of good roles it can pull off. Choice Scarf is the most common and it gets the job done thanks to its good speed tier of 85 and ability Moxie, which make Pinsir a dangerous late game cleaner. Pinsir also has SD sets which find good success thanks to its EdgeQuake coverage. Pinsir's main issues are just its STAB is weak against certain things and being locked into it isn't beneficial.
