With great offensive and defensive presence, Misdreavus was too good to skip on for most teams. With useful immunities and a variety of support options, Misdreavus was a reliable option to keep big mons in check, while maintaining the ability to act as a breaker and cleaner at the same time. Furthermore all the immunities grantied it easy set-up on a multitude of early-meta staples, even being able to set up on should-be-counter Munchlax if given the chance. Misdreavus was simply too good at everything it did, and too fast to reliably be offensively checked by anything that isn't Sun, and even with Webs up, too many games were decided by Misdreavus ties and who could break down its would-be checks or use Missy to break down said checks for other mons. While Sun may at the moment seem more broken to some (And it might well be), Sun has definitive counters and checks to all mons whereas Missy had too much variety in the last slot to ever truly become a fair component of BDSP LC. While Missy rarely 6-0s a team on its own, it at worst keeps the presence it had in the BW2 meta where most games came down to who could put their Missy in the best position to win.
