Sand HO is a relatively newer concept of HO and my flagship. It revolves around using sand with sand rush Excadrill as the hazard setter and control, providing the team with great utility while still having offensive and speed presence which helps vs. offensive matchups. The EVs live a Thundurus Focus Blast and CB Weavile Knock Off from full. Jolly can be used instead of Adamant but Adamant is appreciated for power on this particular team. The team also uses a combination of spreading paralysis with Serperior's Glare and Thundurus's Thunder Wave, and then capitalizing on it with flinch moves (Iron Had, Rock Slide) and spamming substitute to get a free turn and an extra set up. With 3 substitute users, it is very possible. Manaphy is bulky modest for stall matchup. Substitute Mega Tyranitar is also very funny as it can get a free turn vs. Rotom using wisp and then has to hit hydro. Taunt + Rocky Helmet Serperior is another way of breaking fat and also prevents set up and defog. Serperior and Thundurus EVs are there to maximize bulk and switching into Lopunny, something the team can struggle with but can be outplayable. Volcarona outspeeds Mega Zam at +1, is modest for more power, and EVs allow it to put 5 susbtitutes if no sand is up with leftovers. Options include making Thundurus Nasty Plot and have Serperior carry Knock Off over taunt or HP Rock, but this the team less paralysis spreading and less ability to break stall. Can also put Superpower on Mega Tyranitar for better Bisharp/Lopunny/Keldeo matchup.
