Belly Drum Kommo-o brings forth the Drums of War thanks to its tendency to lure in Fairy-types and ability in Bulletproof. Substitute takes advantage of its ability to force switches and also lets it use its Salac Berry after using Belly Drum, allowing it to outspeed threats such as Mega Diancie. Drain Punch improves its longevity, making it difficult to revenge kill with priority moves. Thunder Punch OHKOs bulky Water-types such as Toxapex and Mantine that can Haze away its boosts. Bulletproof allows Kommo-o find setup opportunities against Pokemon such as Blacephalon and Mega Venusaur, while Soundproof allows it to switch in and wall opposing Kommo-o utilizing Kommonium-Z. Choice Scarf Latias is an excellent teammate as it checks faster Dragon-types such as Garchomp and Kyurem, and provides Healing Wish for it. Duraludon deals with Mega Altaria and Choice Scarf Weavile, and sets Stealth Rock to wear down the opposing team. Kyurem deals with Flying-types such as Landorus, and wears down opposing defensive cores of Poison, Steel, and Flying teams for it.
