October is the spooky month, so here's an even scarier Gengar! With Ghostium-Z and Nasty Plot, Shadow Ball turns into a nuke that consumes Mega Charizard X and Mega Sableye with a +2 Never Ending Nightmare. With Gengar's decent wallbreaking power and resistances, it can come in on Blissey which cannot harm it or take advantage of Protect-scouting in the case of Ferrothorn to setup Substitute. Focus Blast deals with Dark- and Steel-types such as Hydreigon and Heatran. Gengar appreciates Galarian Corsola's Stealth Rocks and Froslass' Spikes to make sweeping easier for it. Mega Sableye's Knock Off and Will-o-Wisp also cripples opponents allowing Gengar to set up Substitute and Nasty Plot more easily. Pokemon like Choice Scarf Blacephalon and Mimikyu can also clean up after Gengar has caused enough damage. Swords Dance Aegislash forms a wallbreaking core with Gengar, with the former dealing with Tyranitar and Tapu Lele, and the latter dealing with Hippowdon, Toxapex, and Hydreigon.
