This is your typical sun core, you have the sun setter Torkoal with Stealth Rock. Then to abuse the sun you utilize an abuser and Walking Wake currently is the best sun abuser in the metagame. Protosynthesis boosted choice specs Walking Wake Hydro Steam has essentially no counters without some sort of immunity or tera typing. The only real niche defensive utility between these two is the quad water resist with Walking Wake for the Torkoal, however with sun up this is not too important. The other useful defensive niche between these two is the fairy resist on Torkoal for the Walking Wake however again this is barely used. Torkoal's special defense is too miniscule to use reliably as a fairy resist given most fairy pressure is with special attack. This isn't to say that these defensive niches are useless it's just that these do exist but can be difficult to utilize as they are heavily situational.
