Aerodactyl is a lead that beats Ninjask and can also serve as a lategame answer to Slaking, being able to take +6 Extreme Speed to then retaliate with either Haze or Explosion. The former is more consistent but makes Aerodactyl weaker whereas the latter cannot deal with Slaking behind a Substitute but can be used to get a KO against other targets. Choice Band Aerodactyl still has the trait of surviving Extreme Speed and being able to retaliate (with Superpower). Moreover, Choice Band boosted Aeroblast does incredible damage against most of the tier and Extreme Speed offers good value against Deoxys- Attack. Note, however, that Choice Band Aerodactyl should be used outside of the lead slot.
