LOOR sun

Another DLC, another sun team! Torkoal reprises its role as the team's sun setter, with Earth Power to catch opposing Gouging Fire and Heatran and Tera Flying to avoid the Ground-type coverage those Pokemon can carry. Full SpD investment lets it take stray Moonblasts from Pokemon like Clefable or Iron Valiant when needed. Choice Specs Walking Wake in sun is just as devastating as ever; here, we opt for Tera Water to improve its wallbreaking ability. A more unusual addition to OU sun teams is Hisuian Lilligant, which provides the team good physical coverage. The real star of the show, however, is Gouging Fire, which not only gets an Attack boost in sun from Protosynthesis but also gets its Fire-type moves powered up. Air Balloon + Tera Fairy gives it an excellent matchup against opposing Gouging Fire and faster Dragon-types like Dragapult while Morning Sun lets it make up for its Stealth Rock weakness. Speed-boosting Iron Treads is a one-off emergency check to a lot of common foes like Dragapult and Gholdengo while giving the team an alternative spinner to keep Torkoal healthy. Finally, we have Choice Band Roaring Moon, another sun classic, with Tera Steel + Iron Head to break through potential Tera Fairy foes like Raging Bolt and Kingambit
