Lunatone is a shitmon but it has cool things, it is the only pokemon that is a Rock type, has Levitate and can learn Baton Pass. Many people that you will fight may have never seen a Lunatone in their life and have no idea that it has Levitate so it is a factor to take advantage of. This Lunatone set and its Defense EVs are for make Lunatone to completely walls Gliscor, even with Facade Gliscor wouldn't be able to break Lunatone's Sub, and since Lunatone goes last, this will make it easy for Lunatone to pass the Substitute to someone else on Gliscor. So that is how this works, you send Lunatone against Gliscor, who Lunatone can also kill with Ice Beam, this Lunatone set also walls Skarmory if it doesn't have Whirlwind. To make this team even more wack, it has Physical Slowbro with Belly Drum! Did you know that in Gen5 Slowbro is the pokemon with most attack that can learn Belly Drum and Drain Punch? Obviously this is to be used alongside Lunatone's Sub and take advantage of Slowbro's ability to take hits.
