Roldski32's Vote for 350 Cup
Rufflet : Ban
Rufflet is one of the most threatening wallbreakers in 350 Cup with its high 166 Attack stats boosted by Hustle, A great coverage move in Superpower and Shadow Claw, and a good base Speed of 120.It is somewhat hard to check Rufflet defensively.Choice Band gives it an immediate power that can 2HKO a many pokemon,it can also utilized U-Turn to pivot out on a predicted switch-in.Rufflet also has access to Hone Claws, which allows it to boost its already high Attack and mitigate the accuracy drop from hustle, and Flyinium Z allows Rufflet to KO most walls that could otherwise survive +1 Brave Bird.Look at these damage calculation:
+1 252 Atk Hustle Rufflet Supersonic Skystrike (190 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Koffing: 376-444 (103.2 - 121.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock and Black Sludge recovery
+1 252 Atk Hustle Rufflet Supersonic Skystrike (190 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Hippopotas: 438-516 (92 - 108.4%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
+1 252 Atk Hustle Rufflet Supersonic Skystrike (190 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Slowpoke: 501-591 (88.8 - 104.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
+1 252 Atk Hustle Rufflet Supersonic Skystrike (190 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Giratina: 531-625 (105.3 - 124%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
+1 252 Atk Hustle Rufflet Supersonic Skystrike (190 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Zygarde-Complete: 526-621 (82.7 - 97.6%) -- 25% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
+1 252 Atk Hustle Rufflet Supersonic Skystrike (190 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Spritzee: 531-625 (102.9 - 121.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
Stealth Rock and Spikes helps Rufflet to put them in range of +1 Supersonic Skystrike, its good bulk allows it to set-up against Pokemon that can't threaten Rufflet. In addition,It can also use a Ghostium Z and Shadow Claw to bypass Honedge and Bronzor:
+1 252 Atk Hustle Rufflet Never-Ending Nightmare (140 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Honedge: 354-418 (92.1 - 108.8%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
+1 252 Atk Hustle Rufflet Never-Ending Nightmare (140 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Bronzor: 398-470 (92.1 - 108.7%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
I only think of few checks to it.Honedge is a good check if Rufflet isn't running Shadow Claw,I also think scarf Electric can put Rufflet in check but some of them were suspectible to being trapped by Diglett and Trapinch.Stealth Rock also limits CB Rufflets switch-in opportunities. In conclusion, I would vote ban Rufflet, because he's getting unhealthy in the metagame to me.
Arena Trap : Abstain
I'm still can't decide if Arena Trap is going to be banned or not, maybe due to my lack of experience.I'm sorry...
Also this is the team i used : https://pokepast.es/85859d2fd5b55c09
Team Description
Primal Groudon is my Stealth Rock setter.28 Def EV is given to it to survived Jolly Diglett's Tectonic Rage at full health and KO it back with Lava Plume.Vibrava is my Defogger in this team and counter to opposing Primal Groudon lacking HP Ice.Spritzee is my cleric and wish passer to keep them healthy.Grimer-A is my pursuit trapper, gives knock off support and a special tank, clear smog is used to remove stat boost from set-up sweeper such as Xerneas and Clefairy.Arceus-Steel is somewhat weird but i need this as a switch-in to staravia, and the last member,Rufflet is broken.
