Metagross Weavile BO

This team features Power-up Punch Metagross, a powerful threat that can easily take over games if not dealt with properly. After a +1 boost, common walls such as Skarmory and Slowbro struggle to keep live Thunder Punch. It does struggle with bulky psychic types such as Cresselia and Mega Latias, and Pursuit Weavile provides pursuit trapping capabilities in that aspect. Assault Vest Volcanion is a nice surprise that can give the team options in checking strong special attackers such as Mega Alakazam and Volcarona without too much investment so to maintain its power. Rock Slide + Swords Dance Excadrill gives the team great stallbreaking ability and is especially useful in weakening Zapdos and Skarmory for Mega Metagross. Garchomp and Zapdos round off the defensive core, giving the team mixed defensive profiles. Garchomp lives a Mega Diancie Moonblast from full and can also check Volcarona. Zapdos can pivot into Serperior while also checking Tornadus and Mega Pinsir. Satic Zapdos, Sludge bomb and Steam Eruption Volcanion, alongside Toxic Garchomp, give the team a great array of tools to spread status around and cripple opposing threats. The team can struggle into Weavile or strong volt switch users such as Thundurus and Rotom. It requires predicting and precise play, so be sure to get plenty of practice!
