Double Choiced Grounds

by Regiboob

Ground-immune Pokemon are few and far between these days, largely limited to Fletchinder, Air Balloon Tinkatuff, Eelektrik, and Levitate Koffing. Ground-resists are even rarer, almost exclusively comprising the Grass-type starters Thwackey, Snivy, and Quilladin. Instead, many NFE teams rely on physical walls that take neutral damage from Ground-type attacks like Quaxwell, Clefairy, and Dunsparce to deal with Ground-types. This team aims to overwhelm such checks with two very threatening offensive Ground-types: Choice Band Piloswine and Choice Scarf Krokorok. Piloswine tends to be the breaker on this team, punching massive holes in opposing team structures to allow Krokorok to follow up with the Moxie sweep. The rest of the team provides a sturdy defensive core that chips and weakens would-be checks with Knock Off, Stealth Rock, and status conditions. Seadra and Fletchinder also generate momentum with their pivoting moves to get the Ground-type stars of the team onto the field as many times as possible.
