Pads Shifu + Scarf Lele Sand

A Sand team with the double core of Choice Band Tyranitar and Choice Band Excadrill. Choice Band Tyranitar has the usual coverage that allows it to be a great wallbreaker, particularly destroying most non-physdef Hippo stalls. Choice Band over Swords Dance on Excadrill allows it to fit Rock Slide, which notably hits Zapdos and OHKOs Volcarona. The core of physical attackers is completed with Protective Pads Urshifu, which helps weaken usual Excadrill checks such as Buzzwole and Corviknight, while also denying pivoting attempts from Ferrothorn and Landorus-Therian. 3 atks Defensive Zapdos functions as a good pivot and check to Rillaboom, Kartana, Hawlucha and Ferrothorn. Choice Scarf Tapu Lele is a good speed control for the team, with it's Timid nature allowing it to outspeed Arctozolt in hail. Mixed Defenses Ferrothorn acts as a pivot, rocker, and helps improve the Shadow Ball and Tapu Lele match up. The team is usually forced to play with rocks on both sides; while Excadrill has rapid spin to emergency get rid of Spikes, it is not meant to keep Stealth Rock off the field at all times, as Landorus-T or Ferrothorn can just set rocks back up versus it.
