Fire is a powerful, hyper offensive type in the Monotype metagame due to its access to sun alongside its dominant offensive presence. This team relies on the support that Torkoal and Incineroar provide. Torkoal sets up sun and Stealth Rock, and it can clear entry hazards. Incineroar acts as a defensive pivot and can use Parting Shot to safely bring in setup Pokemon like Volcarona. Volcarona and Cinderace are fast setup sweepers and support each other by breaking each other's checks. Alolan Marowak is a slower wallbreaker that is able to muscle through most Pokemon with Poltergeist and Fire Punch after a Swords Dance. Finally, Charizard acts as a form of speed control and is the team's revenge killer, being able to take on Pokemon such as Choice Scarf Dracovish.
