This is a common Volt Switch + U-Turn bulky offense structure that features Diggersby as its choice of Ground-type and Choice Scarf user. The pairing of Zarude and Thundurus-Therian forms the main VoltTurn core, forcing each others' checks in and providing contant momentum against them. Moltres and Slowking complement this core by filling in defensive holes against Pokemon like Venusaur, Conkeldurr, Mamoswine, Scizor, Amoonguss, Tangrowth, opposing Cobalion, Darmanitan, and Keldeo, among others, while maintaining momentum with U-Turn and Teleport. Cobalion provides Stealth Rocks for the team and checks U-Turn abusers like Scizor and Hydreigon with its defensive typing and Swords Dance-boosted Close Combats. Finally, Diggersby provides a second Electric immunity for the team, as well as speed control against faster threats like Azelf, Zygarde-10%, Raikou, and Crobat. A Jolly nature was chosen to outspeed Adamant Gyarados at +1 Speed. Ice Punch was chosen to threaten Salamence.
