- Mega Feraligatr is being suspect tested! Due to its new Dragonize ability, I (WindySnivy_) have reason to believe that it might be an extremely powerful force in the Onslaughtmons metagame. Its strong Dragonize boosted Return / Frustration can cripple unprepared teams and stop Ditto in its tracks if it has the wrong amount of Happiness. Furthermore, it has powerful setup options in Swords Dance and Dragon Dance, as well as Liquidation for good Water STAB and amazing coverage with Earthquake and even Low Kick or Superpower to hit Ferro for massive damage. It can also run decent RestTalk sets due to its substantial bulk, and Trailblaze can also be a decent option to pair with Swords Dance. However, Mega Feraligatr suffers from a few main issues: it has no reliable recovery, it can't break Dozo without Electric Terrain support, and it fails to deal with Clefable, a decently prominent pick on Stall and Semistall teams. However, these factors didn't stop Urshifu-Rapid-Strike from being quickbanned from the meta. Even though that may have been due to its extremely strong Drain Punches, keep in mind that Mega Feraligatr does have Dragon Dance, a very rare tool in the metagame.
