Choice Specs Kyogre + Choice Band Marshadow + Physically Defensive Zarude
by TrueNora
This team is built around the potent offensive core of Choice Specs Kyogre and Choice Band Marshadow, which work together to pressure each other's checks, both notably overwhelming Eternatus for the other to break more easily. Individually, Marshadow pressures Blissey, while Kyogre pressures Zygarde and Ho-Oh. Marshadow runs Spectral Thief due to rise in popularity of Air Balloon Xerneas and Sitrus Berry / Air Balloon Eternatus to shut down Poltergeist variants of Marshadow. The team also features the standard defensive core of Ubers: Necrozma-DM, Yveltal, and Eternatus. Necrozma-DM grants the team with Stealth Rock and paralysis support with enough Speed investment to outspeed paralyzed Calyrex-S. Iron Head is run over Sunsteel Strike for its higher PP and flinch chance while still being able to 2HKO Geomancy Xerneas. Yveltal grants the team Defog and Knock Off support and has U-turn to generate momentum. Eternatus grants the team a sturdy Knock Off switch-in and resistance to Water. Sitrus Berry allows it to reliably check Poltergeist variants of Marshadow. Sludge Bomb lets Eternatus pressure Taunt Yveltal and defensive Fairy-types a lot better, and Mystical Fire lets it check Kyogre more easily. Zarude rounds out the team's defensive core, checking threatening wallbreakers such as Swords Dance Groudon, Dragon Dance Zekrom, SubSeed Calyrex-S, Calm Mind Kyogre, and Zygarde.
