The focal point of the team is MAlakazam with Calm Mind. The team focuses on setting it up for a late game sweep by chipping its common switches with status, double knock off, pursuit Bisharp, and rocky helmet Garchomp. Common pivots to MAlakazam include special walls like Tornadus and Chansey, bulky steel types like Heatran and MScizor, and bulky psychics like Cresselia and Mega Latias. With good positioning and long term planning, and with some good luck in hitting Focus Blasts, all of these checks can be overtaken. Keep Garchomp healthy versus Volcarona. Tornadus is important for Gliscor matchup. Bisharp and Rotom both carry unique sets that synergize with MAlakazam better to provide better support. Strong threats include MMedicham, MDiancie, and offensive Thundurus. Be sure to play more offensively oriented in those matchups.
