Note: Kadabra is one of the best offensive mons in the tier. It is tied for the fastest Pokemon in the tier and boasts an incredible base 120 special attack stat. Its access to magic guard means that it can completely ignore hazards which allows it to be an amazing revenge killer with a focus sash. Life orb can be used for even more power which very few mons want to switch in on. Psychic is used for STAB which can allow Kadabra to put massive holes into teams. Dazzling Gleam is currently the best second attacking option with Dark Types like Murkrow, Krokorok and Vullaby being semi-common. Energy ball is used to hit all the bulky water types in the tier as well as Krokorok. Encore stops the many bulky set up sweepers in the tier like Duosion and Sliggoo to set up on Kadabra. Shadow ball is used to hit ghosts for more damage such as Dusclops if neither of these are a problem. Counter is used on sash variants to take a hit from a physical attacker and OHKO them back while leaving Kadabra able to get a hit off on the next incoming Pokemon.
Checks & Counters: Specially bulky Pokemon such as Munchlax and Sliggoo can take Kadabra's hits and hit back either breaking it's sash or OHKOing it due to Kadabra's terrible defenses. Pokemon with a choice scarf can outspeed Kadabra to break it's sash to allow a Pokemon with priority to kill it. Dark types do a good job of walling Kadabra unless it is packing dazzling gleam. Ferroseed is able to tank Kadabra's hits well and potentially OHKO with bullet seed. Grimer-alola takes very little from Kadabra's attacks and can pursuit trap it. Metang is also able to pursuit trap Kadabra.
Other Options: Thunder wave can be used to cripple an opponent that could live an attack. Psych up could be used to copy an opponent's stat boosts and hit back with those boosts. Psyshock can be used to deal with special walls that could take a psychic. Psychic Terrain is also a viable option on both the Sash and the Life Orb set, granting Kadabra immunity to priority moves, as well as a stronger Psychic. Calm Mind+Recover can be used, but is risky in a tier where GrimerA is so common.
