ive gotten to top 50 so far with this. still going strong. im 35/10 mega zam as a late game sweeper, dazzling helps widdle muk on switch ins and then zapdos, your own muk or venusaur are good pivots. muk is just a staple for all teams. psychic counter and helps wear down things like zap. I may put fire blast on it over ice punch because the team is weak to late game meltan if you dont burn it or wear it down enough. toxic sub zap I haven't been using too much higher in the ladder but its a good check for things like gyara or brow, earlier in the ladder it was good for lead mews because ti could toxic stall.. works well on any lead rockers other than alolan dug cause it can stall out a lot of rock mons. venu is a good pivot and helps with wearing down with leech. I ususally catch a mon with sleep on the switch then get set up behind subs. with rocks up is good because it forces a lot of switches. its also faster than melmetal so it can sleep it then chip with eq, but melmetal can usually knock this out if its on the weaker side by waking and breaking the sub with bash. also faster than alola muk so it can eq that along with any other slower mons. just great for shuffling. melmetal is just a heavy hitter and a good late game sweeper. sometimes it can be used to get rid of A-muk with eq for zam later, otherwise it can be saved until the end to clean up things like other zam, gengar, aero. it can rest on slower mons like lax, golem etc. ice punch hits zap or other flying mons this can check. still takes about 40 from thunderbolt tho so its not a strong check to that. mew is my answer to things that threaten melmetal and basically any physical mons. since zam plus zap check most special mons. it can burn A-muk then roost stall, or get up rocks. also good for burning lead rockers then getting up your own rocks. eq hits muk and can also beat opposing melmetal. so far the only thing that's really given me trouble is other melmetal and sometimes fast electrics. zap gives some trouble and mega gyara can be bad if it gets behind a sub. other than that cloyster punched a huge hole in the team but I won in the end because if theyre timid they cant knock out zam from full and psychic ohkos. if theyre modest then you outspeed with zam after they smash and KO anyways. also sucker gar does barely anything to zam so its not a huge deal. zam works well too as a lead if they might status. you can sub, then hit something hard or encore to force a switch and prevent hazards. zam isn't aways needed to mega if the opposing team is slow enough or weak enough for zam to handle alone. although that usually doesn't happen. also note speed tie with jolly aero, but aero isn't ususally a problem for this team by the time late game comes. any suggestions to the team would be nice! it would be super cool if you used it and I could see your thought process of the team! :) Alakazam-Mega @ Alakazite Ability: Trace Level: 50 Timid Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Psychic - Substitute - Encore - Dazzling Gleam Muk-Alola Ability: Poison Touch Level: 50 Sassy Nature - Crunch - Ice Punch - Poison Jab - Thunder Punch Zapdos Ability: Pressure Level: 50 Bold Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Toxic - Roost - Thunderbolt - Protect Venusaur-Mega @ Venusaurite Ability: Thick Fat Level: 50 Impish Nature - Leech Seed - Sleep Powder - Substitute - Earthquake Melmetal Ability: Iron Fist Level: 50 Impish Nature - Rest - Earthquake - Double Iron Bash - Ice Punch Mew Ability: Synchronize Level: 50 Careful Nature - Roost - Stealth Rock - Earthquake - Will-O-Wisp
