Constantly acting in retaliation to one another only brings about more hate and suffering all around, especially for the innocent people caught in the crossfire. On the one hand, I can understand not being particularly fond of people who throw your friends under the bus and blame an entire community for it, and on the other hand I can understand not being fond of people who frequently target and harass you and others for their personal amusement, but constantly taking shots at each other is only ever going to make things worse and worse.
