"To all you Stat boosters, I'll see you in hail.", is what Weavile says as it delivers Punishment to omniboosters such as Jirachi and Victini, which Ice teams struggle against. Knock Off removes crucial items from switch-ins such as Klefki and Celesteela, and lets Weavile clean Psychic and Ghost teams late-game. Low Kick lets it check Choice Scarf Terrakion and Mega Tyranitar. A Choice Scarf lets Weavile outspeed +1 Jirachi and Choice Scarf Galarian Zapdos. Alolan Ninetales checks Fighting- and Water-types such as Kommo-o, Urshifu-R and Gastrodon for Weavile. Kyurem wears down bulky walls such as Celesteela and Slowbro, and in return Weavile deals with specially defensive walls such as Tyranitar and Galarian Slowking. Galarian Darmanitan and Arctozolt are wallbreakers that threaten Corviknight and Toxapex. Cloyster sets Spikes and can spin away entry hazards, and can pivot Weavile in safely with Teleport. Piloswine provides an Electric-type immunity, sets Stealth Rock, and checks threats such as Volcarona and Tapu Koko.
