The Pokémon in this group are not ones that I grinded (ground?) for myself, but I still have them in Pokémon HOME and they are still special to me for various reasons. I received them from a custom Pokémon dealer a while back, but they represent the many memories I have made along my own Pokémon journey.
Raichu-Alola (M) @ Light Clay
Ability: Surge Surfer
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
IVs: 31/0/31/31/31/31
Jolly Nature
- Psychic
- Thunderbolt
- Light Screen
- Reflect
Ball: Ultra Ball
OT: JSole26
Game: Moon, now in Shield

Now where would this team be without Alolan Raichu, huh? Although Shield was my first Pokémon game, I have always considered Generation 7 as my 'home gen,' even though I never got a 3DS until much later. Alolan Raichu was and always will be my most favourite, so he definitely deserves the top spot on the Super Six.
Decidueye (M) @ Grassium Z
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
IVs: 31/31/31/31/31/31
Hasty Nature
- False Swipe
- Leaf Blade
- Swords Dance
- Shadow Claw
Ball: Ultra Ball
OT: JSole26
Game: Moon, now in Shield

Another of my favourites from Gen 7, Decidueye is without a doubt my favourite starter, ever since the cute 'lil borb that is Rowlet was revealed in the early days of the trailer season. I always found the Spirit Shackle animation slightly weird in the games, so Shadow Claw takes its place on this set. Decidueye's most notable feature was always his incredibly powerful Bloom Doom.
Aegislash (M) @ Lagging Tail
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
IVs: 31/31/31/31/31/31
Brave Nature
- Psycho Cut
- Brick Break
- King's Shield
- Shadow Ball
Ball: Ultra Ball
OT: JSole26
Game: Shield

Aegislash may be a Gen 6 Pokémon, but I really began to notice his effectiveness in battle (and overall coolness) in Gen 8, when I found myself a Doublade and just HAD to evolve him into his final form. Lagging Tail may seem strange, but it allows Aegislash to stay in Shield Forme for as long as possible until he unleashes an attack.
Hatterene-Gmax (F) @ Destiny Knot
Ability: Healer
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
IVs: 31/0/31/31/31/31
Calm Nature
- Expanding Force
- Dazzling Gleam
- Calm Mind
- Mystical Fire
Ball: Dream Ball
OT: JSole26
Game: Shield

Say what you will about it, but Hatterene is definitely one of my favourite Sword and Shield Pokémon. Her calm yet mysterious nature was something I found quite interesting (before I found out about the kinds of things that happen in the unholy fandom of ours, that is). In any case, she is a worthy addition to the Super Six.
Salamence-Mega (F) @ Salamencite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
IVs: 31/31/31/31/31/31
Shiny: Yes
Careful Nature
- Dragon Claw
- Hyper Beam
- Flamethrower
- Crunch
Ball: Beast Ball
OT: JSole26
Game: Moon, now in Shield

If there's one thing I tend to gravitate towards, it's giant green dragons. (Oddly specific, I know.) For the longest time, Mewtwo was my favourite Shiny Pokémon AND my favourite Mega Evolution, but those places have now both been taken by Salamence. I might try to get Shiny Mewtwo in some game or another for my trophy case.
Calyrex @ Focus Sash
Ability: Unnerve
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
IVs: 31/0/31/31/31/31
Serious Nature
- Psyshock
- Future Sight
- Giga Drain
- Heal Pulse
Ball: Master Ball
OT: JSole26
Game: Shield

Just to add a Legendary to this list, Calyrex fills the last spot on the Super Six. There's not really a lengthy origin story behind it, but I really liked it as a Pokémon. In case you're wondering why Calyrex is not riding Spectrier or Glastrier, it's mostly because I wanted it to keep its Grass typing. Depending on what new Pokémon get released in Scarlet and Violet, there's a chance that Calyrex might be have to be booted off the list for a bit.
