This is a team built around the offensive potential of Pikachu, taking advantage of its unresisted coverage and great synergy with Spikes to put huge pressure on common defensive cores in NFE. Pikachu threatens almost everything in the tier with Volt Tackle and 2HKOes switch-ins like Toedscool, Drakloak, and Naclstack with its coverage moves. Misdreavus uses Substitute to safely boost its stats against defensive Pokemon like Naclstack and Foongus, and it can keep Spikes up against Rapid Spin users like Quaxwell and Carkol. Fletchinder can use U-turn to bring in Pikachu safely on Water-types like Mareanie and Quaxwell, and it can check priority users and faster Pokemon for Pikachu such as Pawniard, Raboot, and Choice Scarf Floragato. Naclstack is a strong tank that can set Stealth Rock and spread chip damage with Salt Cure, weakening Pokemon like Gabite into range of Pikachu's attacks. Toedscool provides huge utility through Spikes, Rapid Spin, and Knock Off, bypassing Hattrem's Magic Bounce with Mycelium Might. Mareanie rounds out the defensive core by walling Frogadier, absorbing Toxic Spikes, and serving as a secondary answer to Pokemon like Raboot and offensive Quaxwell.
