Beast Boost grants it a boost to its already high Attack stat everytime it KOes an opponent to the point it can be very hard to defensively check. Despite its low HP, it has high Defense stat and a great defensive typing, which grants it some set-up opportunity, protection against certain priority moves and an immunity to Toxic. On the other hand, its abysmal special bulk leaves it suspectible to almost any special moves. While it has a relatively good speed and access to priority move, it is still suspectible to faster pokemon that are resilient or can survived Bullet Punch such as Mega Lucario, Marshadow and Jolly Mega Salamence.
