Seriously considering: Changing Stealth Rocks user (some sort of Kleavor, Specially Defensive Empoleon, Utility Jirachi), replacing Magnezone with Volcanion (IF using Utility Jirachi as a new lead). Possibly considering a Dragon Dance user or a Tera Ghost Cyclizar over Weezing-Galar to have Knock Off over Burn, and also another pivot. --------------------------------------------------------------------- A modified version of Bulky Pivot Frail Sweep. Magnezone ditched Mirror Coat for Body Press to gain consistency, and Lucario switched to a Life Orb. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Swampert: My go-to pivot Stealth Rock user. Knock Off, Stealth Rock, Pivot, bulky, decent coverage. Other contenders: Azelf for the speed and power, but not bulky enough for my tastes in pivot. I considered Gligar, but wanted the power to threaten a proper clean-up in the endgame. ...Kleavor is a serious contender to take this spot for the REALLY impressive damage outweighing the frailty. Specially Defensive Empoleon's typing and access to Roost make me consider it as well, but I'd be losing one of Flip Turn/Knock Off in the name of Competitive Surf. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Gardevoir: Standard anti-weather and revenge killer. I normally like Focus Blast over Healing Wish, but I figure Swampert, Gallade, and Lucario are enough for beating Steel Types. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Gallade: My Agility sweeper. I chose Night Slash over Leaf Blade because of the surprise factor and because Magnezone and Gardevoir are enough for anti-Rain, but I need more anti-Psychic and anti-Ghost options. Tera Fire and Scope Lens to get a free setup turn against Geezing, and I can take a Scald from Slowbro (another reason I took Night Slash). Contemplating Lum Berry instead, just in case I use up my Tera elsewhere or get hit with paralysis. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Magnezone: Standard bulky wallbreaker. Assault Vest version instead of Choice Specs so that I can switch out without needing as much prediction. Using Discharge as paralyze support to give Lucario an endgame win condition other than SD into CC --------------------------------------------------------------------- Weezing-Galar: Standard Burn support and Hazard removal. Also a priceless "screw you" to Zapdos-Galar and Maushold. Burn support is to give Gallade a chance to set up without taking too much damage or to let Gardevoir Moonblast sweep with their decent special defense complemented by not needing as high of a regular defense. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Lucario: Endgame cleaner if Magnezone did its job and second revenge killer. I really wanted to see if I could build a team where Lucario had a niche. Of course it had to have Gallade, since Sharpness made Gallade superior in almost all respects. This is why Lucario has TWO priority moves: Bullet Punch to revenge kill ghost types (Hi, Mimikyu and Gengar), and Extreme Speed as the main revenge move. Close Combat is for double-duty as a wallbreaker.
