For April, me and my friends did a Non-OU To the Top challenge so your new series was a cool surprise! This team is centered around Moltres/Tang/Gastrodon as a FWG core. Tangrowth is a necessary Knock Off absorber and between Moltres and Tangrowth, Kartana and Rillaboom are non-issues. Gastrodon helps to not auto-lose to rain, it also is necessary to check threats like Calm Mind Tapu Fini, Volcarona without Giga Drain, and Specs Dragapult. The 3 cover each other's weaknesses very well, Volcarona is a huge threat though so it's necessary to scout for Giga Drain vs Psychic. Nidoqueen helps alleviate this team's gaping wide Toxapex weakness and it also sets up Rocks. Scizor ensures that Tapu Lele and Kyurem don't overwhelm this team; Swords Dance is used over U-Turn since pivoting isn't super useful with a team this fat though it could help Nidoqueen set up Rocks more and can bring Weavile in safely. I opt for Swords Dance just so this team has some form of offensive option during fat stalemates. Once everything on the opponent's team has sufficiently been chipped/accrued burn and Stealth Rock damage, Weavile can come in and win the game ideally. I prefer Icicle Crash since in some scenarios, the flinch can help break through things like Skarmory, Toxapex, or Corviknight after an SD. That said, this team is weak against Substitute users, so Triple Axel can be better; the chance to do much more damage than Icicle Crash can be equally game-winning. I had Ausma and Fusien evaluate/test this team, the common issue we saw was that this team is fairly passive and heavily relies on Nidoqueen in the early game to dent walls. This is an issue since Nidoqueen is very easily worn down. Another build of this team used Intimidate Krook instead.
