Flutter Mane

Flutter Mane carves out a niche as the fastest Taunt-Pain Split and Imprison-Pain Split user, able to provide inconvenient healing to even opposing Magic Bounce users! Unfortunately, thanks to its mediocre base 55 HP, Flutter Mane needs to max out its HP in order to be an effective Pain Split user. Flutter Mane can opt to provide speed control team support with Thunder Wave or Trick Room. Alternately, it can absorb opposing Trick/Switcheroo deceptively well with Perish Song still giving it the ability to KO itself when with a bad item. Naive Black Sludge no-bulk Flutter Mane is OHKOed by Magnemite Steel Beam, and even the Pain Split set should be Naive to make the chance it gets OHKOed by Gholdengo Steel Beam as high as possible. Pain Split sets should run Toxic Orb so they can profitably use Pain Split for as long as possible. With its base Ghost/Fairy typing already making it immune to trapping and weak to Steel Beam, Flutter Mane should be Tera Dark to opt to dodge Pranksters instead.
