Pawniard

A rare Dark-type Steel Beam user, Pawniard's main claims to fame are being immune to Prankster and having a fairly weak Steel Beam. Taunt prevents opponents from using all sorts of nasty moves and is especially good if you anticipate the opposing Prankster switching out. Protect provides its usual time-buying, while Thunder Wave and Sandstorm provide team support. Pawniard is also a Stealth Rock setter than can self-2HKO, thus making Court Change teams even faster. Pawniard's best ability is Pressure to try to burn up Heal Pulse PP faster. A Jolly nature makes Steel Beam as weak as possible, but do be aware that Pawniard still OHKOes Shroodle, Gastly, Diglett, and more. While dropping Pawniard's Dark type is usually not recommended, Tera Ice lets Pawniard be better Steel Beam fodder (it is notably OHKOed by Gholdengo Steel Beam regardless of Tera), while Tera Ghost lets it escape trappers. Note that both Tera types let Pawniard be OHKOed by Electrode-H Chloroblast.
