While it may seem to be having competition with its Altered Forme, Giratina-Origin has some important trait over it. Despite its lesser bulk, it is still quite bulky and its higher offensive stat combined with its close to unresisted STAB combination and Griseous Orb boost lets it fit on balance and offensive teams better and easier than its Altered Forme. Its access to Defog and Levitate grants it a great advantage against Primal Groudon. Its lack of reliable recovery move and inability to hold Leftovers makes it prone to being worn down too much, which can be detrimental if its checking some dangerous pokemon. Its average Speed means it will moved last after most offensive pokemon.
