- Butterfree is a ZU (ZeroUsed) Pokémon that is probably not thought about much when teambuilding. However, due to the expanded roster in OnslaughtMons, Butterfree becomes a powerful Pokémon because it takes up a smaller fraction of the team (1/24 instead of 1/6) and is capable of putting the opponent to sleep and setting up multiple Quiver Dances. Compound Eyes makes Sleep Powder to go from a move with only 75% accuracy to a 97% accuracy sleep move and Focus Sash lets it survive attacks from Pokémon that outspeeds it or wakes up from sleep. While this Pokémon sees competition with other Baton Pass users like Blaziken and Ninjask due to the One Baton Pass Clause, it is still a good off-meta pick if you want to pass defensive stats to another Pokémon.
