The team was built around Substitute + Dragon Dance Tyranitar to take advantage of low Fairy team usage and decreased Electric team usage. Grimmsnarl and Zarude support the setup sweepers; the former can set dual screens, paralyze faster threats such as Urshifu-R, and provide an important Dragon immunity, while the latter provides the Speed to take on Water and Ground teams as well as threats such as Choice Scarf Tapu Lele, Choice Scarf Tapu Fini, and Keldeo. Tyranitar, Weavile, Hydreigon, and Galarian Moltres all take advantage of Grimmsnarl's dual screens with their setup moves while covering different matchups for the team. Swords Dance Weavile is extremely potent in the Ground, Flying, and Dragon matchup and provides the team with priority Ice Shard, allowing it to take down faster threats such as Choice Scarf Landorus-T. Tyranitar can set up against passive Pokemon such as Toxapex and Klefki with Substitute and Dragon Dance and take on threats such as Blacephalon and Heatran. Hydreigon poses a major threat to Steel teams because, after a Nasty Plot boost, it can 2HKO the entire archetype, including specially defensive Heatran. Galarian Moltres takes excellent advantage of dual screens thanks to its fantastic natural bulk and Weakness Policy, easily stacking up boosts while increasing its Speed with Agility to outspeed Pokemon such as Choice Scarf Landorus-T and +1 Volcarona, allowing it to become a deadly sweeper. Overall, the team is super easy to pilot thanks to the simple nature of dual screens + setup that can take on most of the metagame, making it a great team for any player to use!
