Notes:
-176 Speed EV's with a Timid Nature ensures Grumpig outspeeds Monferno and Stoutland, as well as hitting a jump point in Speed. The remaining EV's make Grumpig as physically bulky as possible to more effectively take hits from Monferno and physical Combusken while avoiding or having a chance to avoid the OHKO from Liepard's Knock Off, Sucker Punch, and Pursuit.
-Mago Berry+Recycle allows Grumpig to repeatedly check Pokemon such as Rotom-Frost, Combusken, and Musharna. Be wary that Recycle fails if Grumpig's item if Knocked Off or Tricked.
-Taunt is used to prevent slower Pokemon from setting up, preventing Pokemon such as Mawile from spreading status, and deterring both hazards and Defog from being used. Substitute may be used to get into Mago Berry range faster.
-Focus Blast is used to hit Guts Ursaring, Probopass, and Stoutland mainly. Shadow Ball provides better neutral coverage and allows Grumpig to threaten Psychic-types, at the expense of not hitting the very prominent Stoutland.
-Colbur Berry is used to better check Pokemon such as Pawniard, Pursuit Stoutland, and Bouffalant. Leftovers should be used over Grumpig if these Pokemon are checked adequately, as Grumpig greatly appreciates the passive recovery.
-A Choice Scarf set with Trick can be used if your team lacks Speed and needs a Fire-, Fighting-, and Ice-type check. However, this set is very niche and fails to outspeed Choice Scarf Rotom-Frost.
