Notes: Ferroseed excels at being a hazard stacker and a mixed wall at the same time. As sturdy as it is, it walls Pokemon such as Kadabra, Frogadier, Non-Hex Haunter, as well as others. Its access to Knock Off helps it to take down opposing walls and/or supposedly offensive eviolite users for the most part on the switch-in. Spikes and Stealth Rock make Ferroseed good at hazard stacking. Ferroseed having Thunder Wave also helps to cripple possible speedy offensive switch-ins, or almost any Pokemon in general. Leech Seed provides Ferroseed with its main means of recovery, as it's item slot is filled by Eviolite. It can also be used to deal stall damage to just about all
opposing non-grass types.
Checks and Counters: Its main counters come from decent Fire/Fighting-Type pokemon, such as Combusken, Gurdurr, Monferno, and others. Ferroseed also suffers from taunt users, preventing it from using its means of healing and hazard stacking, however, if you have Gyro Ball you can still counter faster taunt users, or if you have Knock Off you can counter taunt using walls. Hidden Power Fire users are definately something to look out for, including Roselia, Gloom, Kadabra, Frogadier, and especially Servine.
Other Options: Gyro Ball is an option over one of the hazards if you're looking to damage faster Pokemon, like Haunter, more efficiently. Toxic is also an option over one of the hazards or Thunder Wave, per say if you don't need the extra hazard or Thunder Wave isn't necessary. Protect is also another option to help with Leech Seed stalling, however this does come at the cost of one Hazard slot in the moveset.
