The ability to bestow Subtitute to eager recipients is highly coveted in Suicide Cup. Accelgor is arguably the best Sub-Passer this metagame has to offer. With Accelgor's ability, Sticky Hold, Accelgor is capable of safely switching in against a multitude of threats. Additionally, its typing allows it to take over 34% from Smeargle's Mind Blown. Accelgor's incredible speed stat allows it to take full advantage of Encore, which can be useful at times. Sandstorm allows Accelgor and its teammates to faint more quickly, at the cost of damaging the opposition as well. Again, Accelgor is extremely safe. It goes without saying that that you should always scout for Pokemon with Trick and Knock Off. If you're looking for a Pokemon that checks Smeargle, passes Substitute and safely switches in against Pokemon with access to Trick, then Accelgor is the right Pokemon for the job.
