Note: Frogadier is one of the strongest glass cannons in the tier due to Protean, and with Life Orb it's almost impossible to switch in on either of the attacks as they turn STAB whenever used. Hydro hits the many Fire and Rock types hard, Ice Beam is great for the bulky Grass types and Dark Pulse hits the common Ghost types like Dusclops and Haunter for solid damage. Hp Grass is good for hitting Bulky waters on the switch-in, otherwise U-Turn can be used for momentum. The scarf set usually prefer this momentum, as you can U-Turn out on things like Kadabra, which otherwise tanks (In this case due to sash) and can bring in a counter freely while scouting. Toxic Spikes Lead is great for HO teams, still packing a punch with its Hydro Pump. Torrent can be utilised here for a strong Hydro when at 1%, but changing types to poison and Dark with Toxic Spikes and Taunt can be useful for setting up on things like Clefairy.

Checks & Counters: Bulky Water types can usually tank a hit or two, but struggles to hit it back with anything. Electabuzz and Kadabra outspeeds the Life Orb and Sash Variant, while Frogadier can't OHKO back, especially not with a Choice Scarf. Bulky Fairy types are also solid checks, especially Clefairy. Munchlax can also tank everything Frogadier has to throw its way.

Other Options: Gunk Shot is a good option to hit the bulky Fairy types, as well as Low Kick on an all out Physical set to 2hko Munchlax. Choice Specs can also be utilised to hit even harder, but missing out on the versatility of a Protean Late Game sweep is often not worth it.
