Notes: Togetic is the only Fairy type defogger in the tier, making it rather unique as a support pokemon. It's got great bulk along with reliable recovery in Roost and Softboiled, and access to Nasty Plot to improve its otherwise not too shabby Special Attack stat. Its lack of speed is a small hindrance, but with its bulk it can still sweep unprepared teams with Dazzling Gleam + Heat Wave, while Roosting off any damage that may befall it. As a support pokemon, Toxic is often preferred over Nasty Plot, as Defog doesn't allow it to have the much needed coverage. Heal Bell can also be used if the team requires. Psyshock is also an option to lure in Haunters and kill them, as with a 96 Special Attack investement Psyshock kills after Stealth Rocks.
Checks & Counters: Hard hitting Steel Types like Choice Banded Metang and Lairon can easily come in on Togetic and threaten it out with strong STAB attacks, and Klang can use it as set-up Fodder provided it is not the Nasty Plot set. The plethora of Poison types in the tier like Gloom, Roselia, Poipole and Haunter can also come in rather freely on Togetic, threatening to Spore, Toxic, Sludge Bomb and heal off any damage Togetic throws their way due to their immense special bulk. Toxic is also a good way of checking it as long as it doesn't carry Heal Bell.
Other Options: Togetic can easily run a WishPass set, as well as having access to other support moves like Thunderwave, Dual Screens, Yawn, Tailwind and Encore. Counter can also be used to more easily deal with bulky steel types like defensive Metang, taking about 40% from a Meteor Mash and retaliating with said Counter. Psyshock and Psychic are also good options for offensive sets, as well as Covet if regaining a knocked item is desirable. Alternatively, a physical Togetic can be utilized with Hustle, although the lack of accuracy makes it a more often than not poor alternative to its Nasty Plotting counterpart.
